LabLog 14 - So this is what it takes to replace a hand. . .
Mon, 06/30/2008 - 09:41 — LabRat
We're finally there!
It didn't assemble itself and bounce down the hall looking for something to rub, like i'd hoped.
None-the-less, the new design of our male sex toy is smooth and powerful and ready for field testing!
Once Rubbot's fabricated parts arrived, we set the lab up for small scale production and testing . . . or should I say "diagnostics". Ya, male sex toy "testing" paints a certain picture doesn't it?
The mechanical stuff came together nicely. The electrical stuff however. . . truth be told, we're currently missing our electrical engineer so we're kind of flying on a wing and a prayer for the betas.
We've worked on everything from medical devices to exercise equipment and designing a male sex toy trumps them all.
Entreats a certain respect for the human hand. . .
In the end, after a grueling beta cycle, we now have a small collection of sweet robotic male sex toys for you to test!
I can't wait to hear the feedback.
Check out toy talk's blog for more info.

I feel so bad - my electronics certification is going to waste and ya all need some work done, hmmm.
CONGRATULATIONS! Pick me pick me pick me pick me pick me pick me pick me pick me pick me pick me...
this is so cool, am glad to hear someone is marrying mechatronics and design within the adult industry. imagine the possibilities! I would love to be working on this project, lol.
so who are the lucky slubs who get to taste test it? can't we get some sneak peaks?
I like the helping hands you have there for sodering the board. Used those many times, but never to create a um......helping hand.......for myelf if ya know what i mean..........
The biggest question now that the units are ready for testing is how do they perform? What is battery life like as I am sure it I had one in the couple of days since it went beta I would have gone though a set.
So have you selected beta testers? I would love to try out your creation.
check out the labRat update here.
thanks for the update! do you have plans to market the rubbot overseas? i think it would be a hit here is australia...
you'll be able to buy it off the site from anywhere. may cost a bit more for shipping but we'll see.
let's hope this doesnt't rub us the wrong way
short, medium, or long beta...
alpha bravo foxtrot
store shelves... this is the one.
a stroke of genius
Glad to hear an update, and that things seem to be going well. The mental image of it "bouncing down the hall looking for something to rub" gave me quite a laugh. Hopefully I get chosen to be one of the testers, though regardless I'll be keeping up to date with you efforts, keep up the good work.
Yay, I hope I'll be involved. This sounds really neat.
Looks like some hard work putting those together! Thanks Guys!!
where did your electrical engineer disappear to?
he's kind of swamped with his day job. . .
those pesky day jobs get in the way a lot don't they?
Wow, this is so cool. It's been a long time since I HAD to have something, but this is just getting me all excited.
This is brilliant. I enjoyed reading through this site. I am both impressed, and intrigued by the design.... Congrats!
congratulations
i'm ecstatic to hear that units are on the way to be built.
i guess you guys don't have the cash (yet) for a fancy production line, but you gotta start somewhere
don't worry, you'll be bazillionaires after this goes really public, it's too great an idea not to.
Ironic that assembly is still a hand job, though...
Oh thats good.
This is exciting!!
All assembled by hand, I'm impressed I know what that can be like. I'd love to give it a try.
Awesome job guys, keep up the good work!
I hope that i will be one of the first testers. It seems like forever waiting. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Thanks for all of your efforts fellas.
